Periodization is planning for each athlete to maximize their potential within a calendar year.

The full year plan is called The Annual Plan.

Periodization is planning all training & competitions in PERIODS OF TIME- BLOCKS or PHASES.

The 3 Phases of The Annual Plan:

  • COMPETITION 
  • TRANSITION

  • Physical & Emotional Development
  • Balance of Non-sport life: work/study/family
  • Involve the Athlete &/or Parents
  • Meeting Individual Needs in a Group Context
  • Understanding All Demands of Kickboxing: Physical, Psychological, Technical &
  • Decision Making.
