This course follows USOPC guidelines which aim to deliver more positive sport experiences through its Sport Governance Principles. Sport is a key element of a cohesive and thriving local to national community. It is a tool for achieving outcomes in areas such as education, health, leadership development and fair play, and is unrivaled in its ability to link heart, mind, and body, to connect individuals and to inspire communities.
With Leadership and Integrity is HOW a coach does their job. The Kickboxing Athlete Development Model (KADM) pathway is the framework we follow, and the coaching structure tells us all about the most important aspects of what a USA Kickboxing Coach is and does daily. Age Specific Training & Competition Guidelines as well as mandated Safe Sport training for every level of coach certified by WAKO USA Kickboxing. WAKO USA is the United States’ division of the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations and the governing body of amateur kickboxing sport certified and fully recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) & Sport Accord.
Sporting authorities such as the US Center for Safe Sport & Sport Integrity Australia view sport from a big picture perspective. Child Safeguarding & Member Protection education are a must. Safe & inclusive sport are core principles, addressing all the things that exclude someone from participating in sport, things such as a disability, racism, discrimination, and more are addressed in the education modules.
